John Molina wanted tp fight Brandon Rios in the undercard of Cotto vs Margarito fight this coming December 3. Lightweight John Molina is confident that WBA lightweight titlist Brandon Rios will take the fight and he believes that he will get this one.
John Molina (23-1, 19 KO) has won five straight after a 2009 decision loss to Martin Honorio. He is the no. 9 contender by the WBA. Like Rios, the 28-year-old Molina is an all-action fighter, and it would no doubt be a war for as long as the fight were to last. Rios (28-0-1, 21 KO) would of course be the heavy favorite, because he’s proven himself against better fighters, and even with his leaky defense, I think it can be easily argued that among good fighters, Molina is even higher on the list of guys who have a blatant disregard for that side of the game.
